Libraries
There are four public libraries located close to
Victoria Falls -- the Laurel Library, Maryland
City at Russett Library, Savage Branch Library, and Patuxent
Wildlife Center Library. Each of the libraries offers a wide
variety of books, magazines and videos as well as special events
throughout the year. Don't forget about the Library of Congress
in Washington D.C. and the University of Maryland library in
College Park.

There are several excellent care facilities available to the
residents of Central Parke
at Victoria Falls.
Laurel Regional Hospital
Located just a mile away from the community is Laurel
Regional Hospital. It is a full service community
hospital offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient
medical services as well as an Emergency Services Department.
And just think of how convenient your appointments will be with
the doctors' offices located just across the street from the
hospital.
Johns Hopkins Hospital
Living at Victoria Falls also provides
you with easy access to some of the nation’s best specialized
hospitals. Located in Baltimore, Johns
Hopkins Hospital is considered a leader in patient
care and medical research. US News and World Report
has placed them at the top of the honor roll as one of America’s
Best Hospitals in 2002.
Georgetown University

University Hospital is located a short
driving distance from your community. Georgetown University
Hospital is the Metropolitan area's most recognized academic
teaching hospital. US News and World Report has ranked
them among the best in the nation. The hospital also features
a Lombardi Cancer Center, Transplant Institute and an innovative
Neurosciences Center.
University of Maryland
Medicine
The
University of Maryland Medical System, located
in Baltimore, is a private hospital providing a complete range
of inpatient and outpatient services. Several specialty services
fall within their network including a heart center, neurosciences,
orthopedics, women's health, a shock trauma center, a diabetes
center, and a Parkinson's center. They also feature the University
of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center, a premier cancer research
and treatment center offering cutting edge therapies.
Continuing Education
No matter what your interest, you are sure to find educational
opportunities right outside your door. Residents of Victoria
Falls are able to continue their education through
a variety of venues. Area universities and colleges offer credit
and non-credit courses daytime, evenings, and weekends. Whether
you want to learn about computers or study Shakespeare, living
at Victoria Falls provides ample opportunities
and easy access to continuing education. Within just a few minutes,
you can be sitting in a classroom at the Laurel College Center,
the University of Maryland, the Beltsville Campus of Howard
University, or the Prince George's County Community College
Campus in Hyattsville.
