The Parke at Ocean Pines Named Best Master-Planned Community

Central Parke Communities is pleased to announce that The Parke at Ocean Pines near Ocean City, Maryland was named one of the “100 Best Master-Planned Communities” by Where to Retire Magazine. Central Parke is a division of Slenker Communities that develops 55+ Resort Communities.

Where to Retire Magazine evaluated several hundred communities before selecting the “100 Best”, featured in the magazine’s July issue. According to Where to Retire Magazine, the communities that are selected offer an appealing retirement lifestyle with the recreational and social activities that retirees seek. While not all are age-qualified, they are all attracting a significant number of retirees. An additional requirement is that homes are available for sale and all the amenities are in place. In addition, Where to Retire looks for diversity in geographical coverage this year, the final 100 are in 27 states. They also looked for communities that represent a broad range of price points and that are located in a variety of natural settings, such as near the water, in the mountains or in the desert. The magazine also interviewed one or more residents in each community for their impressions, both pro and con, to use in their decision.
