2001 Environmental Award:

Slenker Communities was awarded the 2001 Environmental Developer Award by the Maryland National Capital Building Industry Association for South River Colony, a 1,400 acre Master Planned Community which includes 225 Active Adult homes, located minutes from historic Annapolis, Maryland.

The award program recognizes and acknowledges builders and developers who have displayed particular care and attention in maintaining, improving, and enhancing the environment as they proceed through the development and building process.  Awards were given to recognize environmental protection efforts over and above the strict regulations and enforcement procedures of the counties, the State of Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
