CENTRAL
PARKE AT OCEAN PINES SOLD OUT!
Burke, Virginia – January 31, 2006. Slenker Land
Corporation’s Central Parke 55+ Active
Adult division is pleased to announce that Central Parke
at Ocean Pines is sold out! The 55+ Resort Community near
Ocean City, Maryland, was twice named one of the “100 Best Master-Planned
Communities” by Where to Retire magazine.
Known for its outstanding resort-style lifestyle and wonderful location
within the community of Ocean Pines, the Parke
has received numerous accolades throughout the years. The National Association
of Home Builders awarded the community the Platinum award in two categories:
“Midsize Active Adult Community (301-1,500 homes)” and “Community
Center for Midsize Active Adult Community (301-1,500 homes)”.
The Platinum award is the highest honor that a community can receive
in a category. The Parke was also named Environmental
Community of The Year and Best Master Planned Community by the Maryland
National Capital Building Industry Association. Twice it received the
prestigious, nationally recognized Finest for Family Living Award for
being the Best Resort Community in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Parke residents enjoy spectacular amenities
including a spacious 11,000 square foot Private Clubhouse featuring
a 55 foot indoor pool, whirlpool spa, and huge state-of-the-art fitness
center designed specifically for the Active Adult. The Clubhouse also
includes a billiards and sports lounge, card room, sharing library,
arts and crafts studio, Business Resource Center, and Grand Hall. A
Lifestyle Director, similar to a Cruise Director on a cruise ship, is
on staff to plan special events and excursions for residents. An extensive
network of trails wind through the neighborhoods and the forest preserves.
In addition, fishing is available at one of three lakes, or along the
banks of Manklin Creek. As a Central Parke
community, homeowners enjoy a maintenance-free lifestyle, giving them
more time to enjoy themselves instead of worrying about lawn maintenance,
gutter cleaning, and snow removal.
Parke residents enjoy being just 10 minutes
away from the private Beach Club on the Atlantic Ocean with parking,
pool, and snack bar. Other Ocean Pines clubs and amenities are available
to Parke homeowners, including the challenging
Robert Trent Jones Championship Golf Course; The Ocean Pines Yacht Club
and Marina; the Tennis Center with sixteen tennis courts; numerous swimming
pools; recreation areas; docks, private boat launch, and trails. Ocean
Pines also employs a full-time professional staff including grounds
and maintenance personnel, fire and rescue services, and a police department.
Central Parke Communities are known for their
extraordinary lifestyle, highly desirable locations where residents
can live close to family and friends, maintenance-free lifestyle, and
extensive collection of homes built by some of the nation’s most
respected builders. Parent company Slenker Communities, has also
