OVER 200 ATTEND RESORT CLUB OPENING AT CENTRAL PARKE AT VICTORIA FALLS!

Laurel, MD – September 29, 2005. Over 200 people drove past the cascading waterfall at the entrance to Central Parke at Victoria Falls to attend the opening of the 55+ Resort Community’s new Resort Club. Developed by Slenker Communities' Central Parke Division based in Burke, Virginia, the 13,500 square foot Resort Club stands out not just because it is in the center of the community but because of its distinctive plum color. According to Slenker Communities President, Bill Slenker, “We chose this color because of its association with royalty. We wanted homeowners to have a Resort Club that they could be proud to bring their friends and family to.”

Guests listened as Deborah Stiller, the Lifestyle Director spoke about the many clubs and activities that are available to Central Parke homeowners. The 13,500 square-foot Resort Club features a state-of-the-art Fitness Center, Indoor Lap Pool, Outdoor Pool and Terrace, Grand Room/Auditorium, Library & Business Center, Catering Kitchen, Massage Room, Whirlpool Spa, and Sauna, Card Room, Billiards and Sports Lounge, Arts & Crafts Studio, and Barbecue Area. Guests had the opportunity to tour the Resort Club, walk the grounds and visit the builders’ models homes. Craftstar Homes, Drees Homes, Michael Harris Homes, and Sturbridge Homes are all building in the community. Also attending were builders from another Slenker Land community, Central Parke at Colonial Charles. Representatives from The Airston Group, DR Horton, Woodside Communities and Sturbridge Homes and prospective homeowners previewed the amenities planned for the Waldorf, Maryland community opening for sales later this year. The two communities are several under development or planned by Mr. Slenker and his team.

According to Mr. Slenker, “The Resort Club is the center of social activity at Victoria Falls. I know the residents are excited to have The Resort Club open so they can enjoy all of the activities and amenities it offers.” In addition to The Resort Club, Victoria Falls includes trails, a two-court Tennis Center, Mail Pavilion and community parks.

Craftstar Homes and Drees Homes are building one and two-car garage villas from mid $300’s to $500’s. Michael Harris Homes is offering single-family homes on private cul-de-sacs from the mid $500’s and Sturbridge Homes is building luxury condominiums with elevator service and private garages from the high $200’s. All homes feature one-level living and low maintenance designs. Residents of Central Parke at Victoria Falls enjoy the developer’s Carefree Maintenance Program which takes care of mowing the lawn, cleaning gutters, and shoveling snow allowing them more time to enjoy the community’s amenities. “We have had tremendous sales success. The builders are already one-third sold out and I know with the opening of the Resort Club sales will continue to remain strong.” added Mr. Slenker.
